Gambit filming set to begin in Autumn; Bella Donna Boudreaux might land female lead alongside Channing Tatum

Gambit is soon to hit theaters and 21 Jump Street actor Channing Tatum is officially on board to play the titular role. Rumors have also surfaced about Bella Donna Bourdeaux to appear in the film as the female lead character and a couple of names have been listed as possible actresses to play the role.

Despite rumors that Tatum has left the film, new reports have surfaced that cleared the issue. According to Entertainment Weekly, Fox has finally cleared the issue and said that Tatum has already signed the deal to play the titular role for the movie.

The said rumors about the jeopardy of Tatum and Fox's deal was also corrected as just a minor glitch and was not something that  the actor's fans should be worried about. According to Den of Geek, filming for the movie is set to start this autumn.

Meanwhile, new reports have also surfaced that a female character might  appear in the movie, and actresses are now being considered to play the role. According to Comingsoon.net, rumor mill has it that Gambit might be joined by the character Bella Donna Boudreaux in the big screen.

The report also suggests that Spectre actress Lea Seydoux, and Mission Impossible's Rebecca Ferguson are currently being considered by Fox to portray the role of Boudreaux. Aside from them, Mad Max: Fury Road actress Abbey Lee is also part of the short list for the role.

Bella Donna Boudreaux said to have first appear in X-Men Volume 2 #8 as Remy LeBeau's first love. He eventually married Boudreaux through an arranged  ceremony. However, things undesirable things happened and he was later forced to leave New Orleans.

Gambit is set to be directed by Rupert Wyatt from script by Josh Zemuter and from the treatment by Chris Claremont. It will be produced by Claremont, Tatum, Reid Carolin, Lauren Shuler Donner, and Simon Kinberg. It is set to hit theaters in October 07, 2016.
