Dory is soon to swim in the big screen once again in the upcoming Finding Dory. A first look at the upcoming sequel's trailer is expected to be revealed in the upcoming D23 Expo, and Ellen Degeneres said that fans can expect the sequel to be as good as the first one.

After more than a decade of waiting, a sequel to hit 2003 movie Finding Nemo is about to hit the big screen. According to Movie News Guide, the sequel will be set six months after events in the first film and will center on the adorable blue tang, Dory, and her quest to find out more about her parents.

In a report by Crossmap, a preview for the movie will reportedly be released in the upcoming D23 Expo to be held in Anaheim, California. DeGeneres also revealed in a statement with director Andrew Stanton that the movie will still contain the same elements that fans loved in the first movie.

"I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time. I'm not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating Toy Story 16. But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It's got a lot of heart, it's really funny, and the best part is -- it's got a lot more Dory." DeGeneres said.

According to Jobs & Hire, some of the characters from the previous movie will return to join Dory in another adventure. Albert Brooks will be back to reprise his role as Marli, Nemo's dad, along with Vicki Lewis as Deb, and Willem Dafoe as Gill.

New cast members for the movie also includes Kaitlin Olson, who is set to play the role of the adoptive killer whale sister, Ty Burrell as the beluga whale, Bailey, and  Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy as Dory's parents Jenny and Charles. Idris Elba and Dominic West are also reportedly part of the cast although but their characters have not been revealed yet.

Finding Dory is set to hit theaters in June 17, 2016.
