Singer Taylor Swift was mandated for court appearances after a judge ordered the pop star to testify under oath despite the efforts of her lawyers to keep the star out of the court. Now Swift is facing a trademark infringement case filed by a local clothing line.

Taylor Swift is known for having some of the toughest lawyers in all of the entertainment business, but it seems like having great lawyers was not quite enough this time. According to E! News, a judge has ordered the pop superstar to testify under oath in the Lucky 13 trademark infringement lawsuit. In the official ruling, it was revealed that her lawyers tried to limit the questions that she has to answer as well as the time she would have to be on the bench due to schedule conflicts, but they were all denied.

It was only last year that it was announced that the Grammy- award winner would be sued by the Orange Country apparel group called Lucky 13. According to the lawsuit, which actually goes all the way back to May 2014, the brand accuses Swift and her team of trademark violation. It was said that it rooted from her unauthorized use of Lucky 13's trademarks, which are federally registered. The local brand also claimed that they contacted Swift's camp a number of times to resolve the lawsuit filed against her, but there was no reply.

The company was founded in 1991 and it specializes in street wear. Lucky 13 claimed that they already established the trademarks before Swift decided to use them in her music campaigns. The local brand also stressed that Taylor is trying to market to their target audience, which appears to be bikers and gothic individuals.

Casual fans of Taylor Swift claimed that the pop star's number 13 is actually part of her fortune belief as she considers that the number a good luck. During some of her tours, she painted the number into her hand with nail polish: "The significance of the number 13 on my hand...I paint this on my hand before every show because 13 is my lucky number-for a lot of reasons," she once clarified with MTV News. "It's really weird."

She even added, "I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first No. 1 song had a 13-second intro." The "Shake It Off" singer also stated that every time she wins an award, she is seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th section, or the row M, which stands for the 13th letter."

She added, "Basically, whenever a 13 comes up in my life, it's a good thing."

Although Swift seemed to be sandwiched in controversies and Twitter feuds, Swiftie's fans are still very supportive to her, even now that she's been summoned to testify in court.
