Things are getting more and more exciting as "The Flash" nears its season 2 premiere. Latest news about the CW series includes the purpose of Jay Garrick's arrival and the revelation that Cisco's transformation into Vibe will become a challenge.

"The Flash" season 2 is one of the most hotly anticipated premiere this fall as new speedsters are set to join Barry in his new adventures. One of them is none other than the first Flash himself, Jay Garrick, to be played by "Masters of Sex" star Teddy Sears.

According to Danielle Panabaker, Caitlin Snow in the series, the main purpose of Garrick's arrival is to become Barry Allen's new mentor, Franchise Herald reported. Panbaker said that the first Flash's inclusion in their team will make such a huge impact on everybody.

"He's going to be a very cool mentor to Barry and he's going to help Barry expand his powers and the things that he's capable of doing," the actress revealed.

Garrick's onset was hinted during last season's finale when he's famous helmet with lightning on both sides appeared in one of the scenes.

Aside from Jay Garrick, Grant Gustin's character will be joined by other superheroes when the CW series returns for its second season. Carlos Valdes, who plays Cisco in the series will become Vibe in season 2 following  the discovery of his super powers last season.

However, Cisco's transformation into the Marvel superhero will not be as easy as anyone thinks it would be. According to International Business Times, Cisco is overwhelmed by so many things after the season 1 finale, causing his traumatic change into Vibe.

"There are changes to Cisco's biology that are happening," Valdes noted.

He added, "You can definitely expect pretty early on for Cisco to start grappling with those changes."

"The Flash" season 2 will see the arrival of Jay Garrick as Barry Allen's new mentor. His inclusion in Team Flash will create a huge impact to everyone. Cisco on the other hand, will experience a traumatic transformation into Vibe when the series returns this October on The CW.
