Sega has just recently launched the first in-engine video trailer for "Total War: Warhammer." Gamers will be amazed with the enormous monsters, hovering creatures, and a massive battle with the new art style that crosses between "Shadow of Mordor" and "World of Warcraft."

Rock Paper Shotgun provided the details about the Total War: Warhammer in-engine trailer. This cinematic video centers on Emperor Karl Franz, who goes on to fight monsters in the battlefield, bringing his troops with him.  Players will battle with him in the final game and the in-engine trailer displayed the character's capabilities in leading his empire composed of humans against the wild Greenskins.

The legendary lords, including Emperor Franz, will be armed with a variety of mounts, armors, and weapons, Wired.Co.UK reported. Aside from this, the legendary lords will also have a unique range of special abilities in the game. Players may choose the legendary characters from the Warhammer Fantasy Battles to lead the conquest.

Meanwhile, PC Gamer reviewed the trailer and found "Total War: Warhammer" as a perfect franchise mashup, boasting of the artists' and animators' skills in displaying historically accurate legionnaires and archers, injected with all the necessary details, without looking cartoony.

The art style of "Total War: Warhammer" was even described as a mix between the realism of "Shadow of Mordor" and the colorfulness of "World of Warcraft." The Warhammer ground troops also have better animation, packed with personality and with more variety as compared against previous "Total War" games. One of the major add-ons are the flying units which are considered as good and diverse additions to the game.

The use of magic in "Total War: Warhammer" presents an interesting strategy to be used during gameplay.  Although, War Hammer's battle designer, Simon Mann, disclosed that the game's magic spells are expensive and will probably cost the player an entire mana pool.

Fans and curious gamers will have to wait until July 30, as Sega is set to release an extended version of the in-engine trailer as well as a developer walkthrough.
