Everybody's favorite rangers are back as Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are set to be released in the big screen and is currently in the works. Rumors have been swirling that the rangers' old enemy might also come back with them.

The rangers who were loved by almost, if not every, 90s kid are back as a movie is now in the works under Lionsgate which is set to be directed by Dean Israelite and script by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz. The upcoming movie is to be produced by Power Rangers creator Haim Saban, along with Brian Casentini, and Allison Shearmur.

New generation of actors are set to don the Power Ranger suits as the story will reportedly revolve around high school kids who possess powers and thus, must train to be able to save the world from its greatest foes.

Speaking of foes, the movie is said to include one of the rangers' greatest foe, with the weird-looking Rita Repulsa rumored to go against the rangers. This detail first came up in Heroic Hollywood where Repulsa was described as "A huntress. A striking, yet subtly alien-looking woman. She carries a metallic staff topped with a distinctive crescent shape," they wrote.

"Advances with a soldier's confidence, guided by some sort of compass... Her staff is actually a device of immense power. She points it at the ground. Heads emerge, built layer upon layer like 3-D printing, made from the earth itself... The staff's technology grants her the ability to createhumanoid figures, soulless and robotic." the report added.

The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers were previously played by David Yost as Billy Craston (Blue Ranger), Jason David Frank as Tommy Oliver (White Ranger), Steve Cardenas as Rocky DeSantos (Red Ranger), Amy Jo Johnson as Kimberley Ann Hart (Pink Ranger), Karan Ashley as Aisha Campbell (Yellow Ranger), and Johnny Yong Bosch as Adam Park (Black Ranger), while Rita Repulsa was played by Julia Cortez.

Filming for the upcoming reboot of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is said to begin mid 2015, and is set to hit theaters in January 2015. More details about the upcoming movie are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
