Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date: Square Enix promises 'special surprises', gameplay footage at D23 Expo August 14-16

The much awaited Square Enix masterpiece, Kingdom Hearts 3, is confirmed to be on spotlight at the fast-approaching Disney's D23 Expo this August alongside two other AAA titles, the Star Wars Battlefront and Disney Infinity 3.0.

Game Spot reports that the upcoming official Disney fan club D23 Expo which will be held from August 14 to 16 at Anaheim Convention Center in California will be showcasing all-new gameplay footage and teaser trailers for Star Wars Battlefront, Disney Infinity 3.0, including some 'special surprises' for Kingdom Hearts 3. This news prompts fans and pundits alike that the developer would finally announce the game's official release date and other fresh exciting details. 

Apart from these three titles, fans can also get their hands on playable demos for Disney games such as Frozen Free Fall and LINE: Disney Tsum Tsum. Via D23 Website, the announcement post says that attendees can get 'hands on with Star Wars: Battlefront' suggesting that the game will be in playable form like it was at E3 and this coming GamesCom.

Other Star Wars titles to make an appearance at the fan expo include Bandai Namco's arcade dogfighting sim Star Wars: Battle Pod and mobile game, Star Wars: Commander. 

The event's guests will also be treated to Disney Infinity 3.0 experience with the use of augmented reality device called the "Virtual Toy Box" based on the Disney Infinity game mode including tests of three new toy sets: Star Wars Twilight of the Republic, Star Wars Rise Against the Empire, and Pixar's Inside Out.

For those who will be interested to witness Disney's D23 Expo this August, tickets are available at a price of $74 for adult and a one-day admission for non-D23 members while members and kids will be granted with price-offs. More details can be viewed at the official D23 expo website   

Kingdom Hearts 3 is an upcoming RPG developed and published by Square Enix for Xbox One, and PS4 consoles anticipated to be released later this year.
