Conor McGregor's family and fans were in great shock while watching the last UFC 189, as they have seen the McGregor gushing in real blood and was taken down by opponent Chad Mendes. Meanwhile, McGregor is being compared to MMA star Ronda Rousey, and people are guessing who is the best between the two. Jose Aldo on the other hand is 'afraid' of Conor according McGregor's dad.

The UFC 189 is one of the most anticipated and well promoted events of the mixed martial arts competition, where on July 11, Conor McGregor had his first win over Chad Mendes. But before he took the belt from Mendes, he suffered real pain and a knockdown.

Bloody Elbow reported that the family of Conor McGregor felt terrible when they saw Conor on the ground. "It was an awesome fight to see and witness him lifting that gold belt, but before that, it was a terrible shock to the family and it was a big shock to the Irish fans as well. We had never seen Conor being taken to the ground like that before," said Tony, Conor's father.

Conor's mother even ran backstage to avoid seeing her son on the ground with bloody body. Conor's girlfriend was also spotted crying in her seat. When the fight was finally finished, the McGregor family was so proud that they went up Conor and hugged him.

Tony McGregor on the other hand thinks that Jose Aldo was not really booked for another world tour. "Personally, I don't think [Aldo] is afraid of him. I just don't know why he won't face him," Tony said. Aldo was removed from being with the same tour as McGregor, as MMA Fighting reports.

Women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is being compared to Conor McGregor, and surprisingly, Rousey has an edge over McGregor in terms of being the greatest UFC fighter. According to Bleacher Report, "McGregor has initiated a groundbreaking resurgence for international countries like Ireland," while Rousey "has opened up a gateway in mixed martial arts not only for fighters like herself, but a gargantuan market for female fans."

It would be unfair to compare them as they are both fighting on different levels. Especially that both are of different genders.
