Thor: Ragnarok : Kevin Feige reveals filming starts mid-2016; Jamie Alexander says Lady Sif returns in final installment
Thor: Ragnarok, the third and final installment of the Thor franchise, will soon hit the big screen. Kevin Feige revealed Marvel's plans for the movie while actress Jaimie Alexander confirmed that fans will see Sif in action once again in Thor: Ragnarok.
Avengers' Asgardian god will return to the big screen in Thor: Ragnarok and according to producer Kevin Feige, the movie will start filming around mid next year.
"We start filming Doctor Strange in London in November. We start shooting Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in February-March . We start filming Thor: Ragnarok and Spider-Man around the same time, around June of next year." Aside from that, Feige also clarified that Kenneth Branagh, who had been previously linked to direct the film, will not be the one sitting in the director's chair.
Given that almost, if not all, movies slated for 2017 had been given their respective directors and Thor: Ragnarok still does not have anyone to helm the film, Feige said that an announcement will soon be made, "Probably towards the end of the summer we would announce a filmmaker and a writer. May be the same person, I don't know, may be two different people." Feige said.
Meanwhile, another official addition has been revealed about the cast of the upcoming movie, as actress Jaimie Alexander said during the comic con that her Marvel character, Sif,will once again return to the movie in Thor: Ragnarok.
Alexander, who also appeared in the previous instalments, 'Thor' (2011), and 'Thor: The Dark World' (2013) when asked about how much she will be playing in the story, she said, "I don't know the answer to that question, but I know I'm in it,"
As of writing, the only confirmed actors on board are Alexander, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. More details about Thor: Ragnarok are expected to be revealed in the coming months. It is set to hit theaters in November 03, 2017.
