Despite Nina Dobrev's departure from "The Vampires Diaries," fans of CW's supernatural series are still excited about season 7 specifically with its new storylines. Recently, the series added three new characters to wreak havoc in Mystic Falls. The new season will also highlight Kat Graham's Bonnie, who might get a new love interest.

"The Vampire Diaries" is about to enter its seventh season without its leading lady for six years. Nina Dobrev exited the show last season as the actress wanted to take a break and pursue other projects. But the remaining cast members still remain optimistic that the actress' departure will open new and exciting storylines.

Kat Graham's Bonnie for instance will get more attention in season 7. Diehards of the show know that the witch have been involved to relationships before but all of them did not last. However, Enstarz reported that Bonnie may finally find her luck in the romance department next season. With this news, fans of the series are wondering if Bonnie and Damon's, played by Ian Somerhalder, relationship will grow into something non-platonic.

Unfortunately, TVLine reported that Bonnie and Damon will just remain friends next season. In fact, it will continue to blossom, which, according to Ian Somerhalder, is "an amazing recipe for a lot of cool drama." So it is now clear that "Bamon" is not gonna happen, which means fans should look out for possibly new character to become Bonnie's leading man.

Meanwhile, three new characters are set to appear in the seventh season of the hit CW series. Entertainment Weekly wrote that "Legends of the Seeker," alum Elizabeth Blackmore, "Harry Potter" star Scarlett Byrne, and "Neigbour"'s Teressa Liane, will enter and bring mayhem in Mystic Falls. "The Vampire Diaries" executive producer Julie Plec described the new villains as "nasty, nasty, nasty girls" so it is safe to assume that season 7 will be one hell of a season

"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 will have new plots and further delve into the characters' stories as three new villains are set to appear during its premiere this October 8 on The CW
