After a massive guesswork, the company declared a new sensible remedy for its shoppers. The clothing line J. Crew announced the opening of a low cost shop, J. Crew Mercantile, the first in a row of the company's retail sites which will attempt to rally trades between the budget-conscious bargain hunters.

J. Crew Mercantile will be introduced in a Dallas shopping center this month. It will sell similar merchandise individually made for and offered by J. Crew Factory, reported on MSN.

Mercantile is a brand-new shop that will cater to men, women, and children's clothes. J. Crew Group Inc. will open its first concept store, at The Shops at Park Lane at Suite 140, Dallas, Texas later in July, as announced on the Parklane website.

Likewise, J. Crew is adding 21 factory outlets to market J. Crew collections at reduced costs next to the company's 139 markdown branches this year. From the Dallas News Journal, the retail company in a news release said, "Located in convenient retail centers, J. Crew Mercantile stores will make the collection even more accessible to customers."

When the store turned completely into a high end label, moving into high fashion extravagance, its sales dropped consecutively for a few months. Thus, they had come up with the decision to open the Mercantile to patch up its fashion oversights.

J. Crew had reduced 175 jobs or about 10% of its workforce in New York in June. It has also taken $1 billion in record last year to reflect the loss of its brand. However, Madewell, its denim label, is mounting and in rapid progress.

As Gap's GPS Old Navy, a billion dollar retail stamp in the U.S., has been outpacing its competitors, and Target TGT along with Kohl's KSS are currently expanding their inexpensive line of apparel as well, things might be tough for J. Crew to overcome its loss.
