Canada Goose, the winter apparel maker, has engaged the services of investment bank Canaccord Genuity to assist in exploring options for the firm. This includes finding new investors as the overall demand for its cold weather clothing gear ramps up.

The company may consider selling off the whole firm but this was declined by Canada Goose as it confirmed that it would only be seeking to sell a minority stake in the apparel firm. The company has made its pricsy parkas and othere winter accessories into hot cold weather items to buy.

According to Canada Goose CEO Dani Reiss in an interview with Reuters, "We're certainly exploring options to introduce additional equity into the company." He also insists that the family owned company is not being put ip for sale but said that the ownership is considering to bring in a 'value added minority partner.'

The search for the minority partner would commence next week, with potential bidders including known sports apparel companies such as Nike and Adidas and other weather outdoor gear malers such as Helly Hansen, Percival and the North Face.
