"True Detective" already aired its Season 2 Episode 2 and it showed that Detective Ray Velcoro was left for dead. However, it has been reported that even if he was shot by one of the crow men, he is not yet dead.

According to a report by Fansided, "True Detective's" Ray Velcoro could not die just like that since he is one of the major characters in the show and that he and Frank Seymon are the greatest team ever. The publication pointed out that he might be alive in the upcoming episodes but there is no assurance that he will be alive all the way until the show wraps up its second season.

In Episode one of "True Detective" Season 2, fans were treated with a flashback of how Velcoro looks like back when he was still a regular cop. It also featured Paul Woodrugh so there is really a thin chance that the detective is already dead. Also, Lieutenant Kevin Burris, said that one of his men got shot but did not specifically say that he is already dead.

In a report by Melty, Colin Ferrell, the actor who plays the role of Detective Velcoro, was interviewed and he talked about his character's possibility of surviving. He noted that his character will still live to see more episodes in the show's second season. He shared, "Ray's stuck in the interminable present. He's genuinely blinded by his past and therefore can't see his future."

Meanwhile, Carter Matt reported that Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch, the stars of the show who plays Ani and Paul respectively, are dating in real life. There have been no confirmations about the rumors yet but sources are saying that the two are getting serious with their new relationship.

Do you think Detective Velcoro will be surviving the shooting incident? Tune in this Sunday on HBO to see if "True Detective" will still feature the detective in its upcoming episodes.
