"Orange Is The New Black" Season 3 episodes has had to do a lot with Judaism wherein some of the inmates have been experiencing food shortage and they have to pretend that they are Jewish in order to not starve. Due to this, a rabbi was brought inside the prison to talk about Judaism and see who is the real Jew and who is not.

In a report by Vox, they quoted Lolly explaining to her fellow inmates that telling the cafeteria workers that they are Jewish will be giving them an access to kosher meals and they won't be denied because being questioned about the Jewish religion is actually illegal. A rabbi then answers if this is true and indeed, prisoners are given religious freedom under the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act of 2000.

The inmates from the show "Orange Is The New Black" then try their best to prove to the rabbi that they are Jewish noting that they love bargaining, they distaste shrimps, and even have their own renditions of "Hava Nagila."

However, one inmate named Cindy, was not able to convince the rabbi that she is a Jew and so she decides to convert to the religion in order to get kosher meals. She said in one of the episodes of "Orange Is The New Black," that she might have found her people as she was raised in a church where she was told to believe and pray. Because of her lengthy speech, the rabbi noted that she already captured the essence of Judaism and the rabbi tells her that she can finally convert to the religion. Cindy's storyline was very touching as she broke down in tears not because she would get free kosher meals but because she was true to her words, The Jewish Chronicle reported.

Meanwhile, the foul-mouthed Lea DeLaria was interviewed and she talked about jazz, comedy, politics and being a stand-up comedian. DeLaria is known as Big Boo who is unapologetic and has great one-liners but there is more to that than what people know. She is actually a singer, has a new album, and a stand-up comedian before, Salon reported.
