The badass college professor is set to embark on another adventure as Lucasfilm announced that Indiana Jones 5 will happen. Rumors suggest that actor Chris Pratt or Harrison Ford might be grabbing the lead role for the movie.

Yes, Indiana Jones 5 is happening, and even though there are no concrete details yet, Lucasfilm producer Kathleen Kennedy said that there are plans on making another Indiana Jones film.  "[Another Indiana Jones movie] will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I'm not quite sure. We haven't started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it," she said.

However, Kennedy's husband and another producer, Frank Marshall, said that there are no discussions about Indiana Jones 5 yet. Eitherway, fans are now hoping to see the cool college professor on a journey in trying to discover and retrieve artifacts.

Regarding the upcoming film's director, many speculate that Steven Spielberg might sit in the director's chair as he also directed the previous 4 movies in the Indiana Jones franchise.

Although there are no confirmed reports yet, and details are pretty scarce, as of now, many speculate that either Harrison Ford or Jurrasic World actor Chris Pratt might take the lead role. Ford is reportedly in negotiation stage for 2 more Indiana Jones features, but is currently under a contract for  Star Wars which was the reason why he did not commit on anything.

As for Pratt, Jurassic World's success reportedly made him a  strong candidate for the role, but the 35 year old actor denied and said he has not received any offer for the role, or at least not yet. "Interesting...I don't remember going over that....I don't know, that's....this movies is...to get to your question, Jurassic World opens on June 12,"  he said when asked about the movie.

"Well, I have no answer to it, I don't know.I mean, no one has....I missed a phone call the other day, unknown number. I hope it wasn't him." the actor added.

Although reports suggest that the movie might hit theaters in 2018, no exact release date has been announced yet, as pre-production might not have even started yet. More details about Indiana Jones 5 are expected to be released in the coming months.
