A number of venture capital firms have teamed up to provide funding for companies working on Google Glass. Google Glass is the eyeglasses cum smartphone that was developed by Google.

The firms include Andreesen Horowitz, Kleiner Perkins Caufiled and Byers with Google Ventures. These firms are providing capital investments on companies working on applications as well as hardware that would be part of the Glass.

According to Bill Maris, Partner at Google Ventures, "There's a potential for a paradigm shift here, like there was with browsers with PCs."

While there is no defined budget for Google Glass, now there is an ecosystem being grown around Google Glass. The eyeglasses are able to live stream images as well as audio together with the ability to do computer tasks through stamp sixed screen mounted at the side of eyeglass frames. The device can also access email, record video and browse the Internet.
