Fans are still confused whether "The Princess Diaries 3" will happen after actress Heather Matarazzo posted on Twitter as if making people believe that a sequel is in the works. While Disney clarified that the rumours are not true, fans are still left with mixed feelings about the possible sequel due to varying reports.

PRINCESS DIARIES BROUHAHA

Heather Matarazzo, who plays Anne Hathaway's bestfriend in the first two "The Princess Diaries" movies, tweeted a link about "Princess Diaries 3" which she described as a good news to fans. This brought excitement to her followers as well as others who have read the report. However, according to Inquisitr, Julie Andrews, who plays the outgoing Queen and the princess' grandmother in the movie, believes that there is no planned sequel to the movie so far. From what the "Sound of Music" star knows, Hathaway is no longer reprising her role. Andrews clarified though that she is not closing doors considering Disney's innovative and smart approach in movies. She added though that Disney may just stick with the previous movies because of "Annie".

NO OR NAY?

This was supported by a Disney insider who said that there is no "Princess Diaries 3" in the works, reports Ecumenical News. At least for now.

However, UK Blasting news reported on Monday "Princess Diaries 3" is coming. It quoted Disney as saying that the studio feels that there is more to tell in the movie. Disney has not given any information yet about the possible plot but the movie is said to premiere in cinemas in 2017.

Still, it remains to be seen in order to conclude that there will be a "The Princess Diaries 3". If ever there won't be, what fans could do know is hope that things will still change. Who knows, a fairy godmother might just grant their wish.
