The newest poster of the highly-anticipated "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" has been finally revealed on Thursday. Producer Wyck Godfrey has released the primary visual of the film via Twitter which features the brave Gladers crossing canyons from fallen buildings of the city. The upcoming sequel is scheduled to premiere this fall, on September 18.

The stunning view of the newly released "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" poster features a "metaphorical picture", where the destroyed buildings of the city serve as a bridge across the canyons. According to Hypable, this painted scenario indicates that the aid Gladers seems to be looking for may not be too far. The city may already be ruined but it is reported that the runners' key to survival may lie behind the walls of the metropolis.

It was noted that during the first film of the franchise, the group of adults called the Gladers were locked in a struggle for survival in the core of a gigantic, monster-filled maze.  The Gladers successfully got out of the isolation but discovered an unexpected dismal world. They are forced to live in the Scorch which offers no safety and security, compared to their former home, where food, water and shelter were provided.

While the readers may already have the idea what the film has in store for its viewers, the sequel's director Wes Ball has teased that there are still surprises that await everyone who will be watching the forthcoming movie. "We didn't approach this as a straight adaptation of the second book. We approached it more as using the same ingredients but using slightly different recipe," he told Empire Online. "So things from the first book end up in the second movie, and there are things in the second book we're saving for a third movie."

Adapted from the second book of James Dashner's "The Maze Runner" series, "Scorch Trials" will star Dylan O'Brien ("For the First Time", "The Internship"), Thomas Brodie-Sangster ("Game of Thrones", "Nanny McPhee"), Kaya Scodelario ("Emmanuel and the Truth About Fishes", "Now is Good"), Will Poulter ("We're the Millers", "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader"), Patricia Clarkson ("Easy A", 'Friends With Benefits"), Rosa Salazar ("Insurgent", "Search Party"), Aidan Gillen ("We Are the Freaks", "4.3.2.1") and Giancarlo Esposito ("Breaking Bad", "Revolution").

"The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials" is scheduled to debut in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on September 18, 2015.
