The PS4 exclusive Shadow of the Beast had an amazing gameplay footage shared during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015, which was held last week. This was even covered by the Heavy Spectrum Entertainment's CEO, Matt Birch.

The remake of the said title first made its debut during the Gamescom 2014. With about 16 minutes of the video, plus screenshots revealed in the past, much is already being pieced together about the game.

In a recent report from VG 24/7, Matt Birch, who is the CEO of the game's developer said, "with the combat system, we really added all these extra layers in there. If you want to get great scores, you have to use the enemies against each other. You have to stun them, throw them into each other, and you have this blood system as well."

This is because Aarbron will be able to gain more blood after each killed opponent. By letting the meter go up, special abilities may be performed. Birch mentioned a key aspect that was undertaken to achieve this and it was to take a "brief in the office that no level should feel like any of the other levels. So each one's got to have its own sort of signature gameplay path; it's got to have its own distinct creatures."

He also adds, "talking about the backgrounds, you can see that we've deliberately separated all these layers to give you that sort of parallax feeling the original evoked." Of course, this version of the game will go beyond just revamped graphics. A lot of the aspects of combat will also have improved, giving more exciting gameplay.

The PS4 exclusive Shadow of the Beast still has yet to have a confirmed release date, or at least a window for when it is likely to come out. The title is actually a remake, where the original was released way back in 1989 as a side-scrolling game where enemies coming from the left and the right have to be killed.
