"American Crime" Season 2 is much-awaited by its fans and the ABC drama just dropped the news regarding a casting update. Aside from Regina King making it back for the second season of the show, Richard Cabral and Elvis Nolasca will also be coming back for the upcoming episodes.

"American Crime" season 2 is to return five cast members from the first season including the above-mentioned actors as well as Timothy Hutton and Felicity Huffman, Deadline reported. These actors and actresses will be coming back not to reprise their roles as the second season of the show will have a new setting, plot, and characters.

Executive producer John Ridley said in a statement to the publication that the second season will be offering complete role reversals for Elvis Nolasca and Richard Cabral. He added that Elvis will be playing a fundamentally good man in a company he works for as Richard will be taking a stand for the rights of others. He continued, "Elvis and Richard both gave revelatory performances last year, and we are so happy to have them rejoining Felicity, Tim and Regina."

According to Screen Fad, American Crime Season 2 will be taking place in a prep school in the mid-West. The season will be focusing on different issues such as race, religions, gender, sexual orientation and sexual identity. Every season will be in a different area in the United States and will be tackling different crimes.

In a previous report, Regina King is said to be the focus of the second season of the show although no other details have been given out as to what the roles of the other actors and actresses will be in the upcoming season. The type of crime that Season 2 will be focusing on is also still under the wraps.

"American Crime" Season 2 will be coming to you this 2016 but no exact date has been given out yet.
