The executives behind "Fifty Shades Darker" are hoping to get an R rating in the showing of the upcoming novel-adapted movie. While the new "Grey" book has already been released, there is no confirmation yet if it will also be adapted into a film.

Despite more explicit and rough scenes expected in the upcoming "Fifty Shades Darker" movie as earlier confirmed,  Realty Today reports that its creators as well as the production company are hoping to get an R rating. This means that the movie would be restricted only to those ages under 17 and will require the company of a parent or a guardian.

STILL A GREY AREA

Meanwhile, fans have been raving about E.L James' newly released book "Grey" which is said to be told from Christian Grey's perspective that includes his thoughts when dealing with Ana and other characters. The book, which just came out last June 18, features what is in the back of Mr. Grey's mind with reference to the trilogy. With this new surprise, fans could not help but wonder and anticipate another possible movie adaptation in the future. There is no announcement yet though about this. What viewers can expect is the two remaining instalments, "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed", wherein Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will still take the lead roles.

DARKER

The Guardian says James will take control of "Fifty Shades Darker" even more than she did during the first movie, in terms of screenplay. This is the reason why "Fifty Shades of Grey" screenwriter Kelly Marcel found the said movie too painful that she could not even watch it. Marcel revealed that the script was too different from what she did because James made a lot of changes so as to stick to her book.

This is also why Marcel is no longer writing for "Fifty Shades Darker", reports Mirror. She clarified though that she was not bitter or angry.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is definitely something to watch out for especially for those who have read the book where comparisons will always be inevitable.
