Bandai Namco is bringing Tekken 7 to non-Japanese fans this coming Friday to Sunday, on June 19-20, in Bangkok, Thailand.

Southeast Asia Majors (SEAM) 2015 is a gaming tournament where Bandai Namco's entry will be Tekken 7 along with other fighting games such as Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat X, Marvel, and Anime.

It is reported that 46 players from Japan will be making their way to SEAM for Street Fighter.  Top players from other countries are expected to join such as Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, China Philippines, Malaysia, United States, the UAE, Hong Kong, Germany and Australia.

The latest fighting game in Tekken franchise is still only available in different arcades in Japan. Also, MarkMan Julio and the Mad Catz crew have been traveling to different events in North America to let the fans experience the game prior to its North American release like the Final Round, NorCal Regionals, Texas Showdown, CEO 2015, E3, and this time the crew is going to Southeast Asia.

Fans outside Japan have been waiting for its console release, which according to reports, the developer has finally set a release date for the PS4 and Xbox One versions on August 2015.

Recently, some fans of Tekken are not pleased with the latest costume design for the game characters which prompted the game director, Katsuhiro Harada, to respond to the criticism.

He defended the costume design for the characters in the game from the fans' criticism where some say they feel that some characters look odd and other fans are a bit annoyed that the costumes have looked the same for many characters.

Bu the thing is that the story of Tekken 7 takes place with a little time gap after Tekken 5 and Tekken 6. The game's storyline takes place about a year or so, that's why in appearance the characters would't have aged that much and there would be a negligible change in outfit. But in real life there is a huge gap, which is 10 years, so the fans complains are understandable.

But Harada explained that because of the lack of new costumes in Tekken 7, fans are still able to customize the looks of their favorite characters.

"Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Akira, Pai...Something new? It's branding & TEKKEN has costume customize system. That's all" stated Harada on Twitter.

The Tekken 7 arcade version was launched March in Japan and is confirmed to hit PS4 and Xbox One as well as PC on a yet unconfirmed release date.
