Guillermo del Toro's gothic horror film, Crimson Peak will soon hit theaters later this year, and it might be one that will spook moviegoers on their seats. Adult content will be expected from the movie, and del Toro says it's totally different from his previous works.

Crimson Peak has been one of the most anticipated films for this year, not only because of the cast, or the director, but most reports about it says it'll be worth every penny of every movie goer. Apparently, one of the film's admirer is the horror/suspense author himself, Stephen King, who described the movie as "F**king terrifying".

Actor Tom Hiddleston said there's so much more to the film, than just being another horror film in theaters. "It's really kinky ... there is a sexuality in the film which is expressed. And you think you know what it is and then you realize you're only scratching the surface. So I really can't reveal more than that.".

Referring to his character, Sir Thomas Sharpe, Hiddleston dished that he's quite a complex man, "He's certainly the most morally ambiguous or complex figure in the story because I think he's genuinely caught in between people and in between conflicting emotions and is trying to find the best route through a very, very difficult tangle of what people need from him and want from him and he feels what his responsibility is to those people."

Del Torro said that Crimson Peak is a film that's different compared to his previous works, "'Crimson Peak' is a much, much, much smaller movie, completely character-driven. It's an adult movie, an R-rated movie, pretty adult. Shockingly different from anything I've done in the English language. Normally, when I go to do a movie in America for the spectacle and younger audience, for 'Blade' or whatever. This movie's tone is scary and it's the first time I get to do a movie more akin to what I do in the Spanish movies," he said.

The Crimson Peak cast includes Mia Wasikowska as Edith Cushing, Tom Hiddleston as Sir Thomas Sharpe, Charlie Hunnam as Dr. Alan McMichael, and Jessica Chastain as Lady Lucille Sharpe. The plot reportedly revolves around a young aspiring author, Edith Cushing, who meets a charismatic suitor, Sir Thomas Sharpe. They later get married and Thomas brings his wife to his ancestral home; a house that breathes, bleeds, and remembers.

Crimson Peak is set to hit theaters in October 16, 2015.
