A&E haven't announced the premiere of Bates Motel Season 4 but the producers are certain of its renewal. Based on the Finale of Season 3, the upcoming season will explore the possible plot of Norma being taken to a mental institution, Norman and Sheriff Romero's relationship and Emma having her transplant.

Bates Motel Season 3 has recently ended and the season finale cliffhangers made the fans crave for more episodes. To date, there is still no formal announcement if the show will have another season under its belt. However, the team is confident that the story about Norman is still far from end. The producer is certain that season 4 will be granted by the network and this might include Norman being locked in an expensive mental institution.

Norma has finally accepted that her kid needs help from experts. Finally, she was about to do what is right. Clearly, his mom understands the seriousness of his condition. The death toll from his hands will not stop unless somebody takes him. She wanted to bring her child to a mental institution but had a hard time doing so. Not surprisingly, her son did not take this lightly. In the season finale, Norman ran away with Bradley but unfortunately, he reached his breaking point. He killed Bradley while having hallucination.  

Emma is expected to have a lung transplant according to a Fan Sided report. This might seem a good news after all the troubles she faced last season. However, there are speculations that her operation would not be successful as Bates Motel is known to have that kind of twist in their plot.  

Entertainment Focus cited that fans may also see the romantic relationship between Norma and Romero in the upcoming season. Bates Motel Season 3 finale left the viewers with an insight that the two have an obvious attraction. Plus, Romero did everything he could to show Norma his affection. With her son safe behind thick walls, this is the high time for the show to give the fans some romance. But then again, Bates Motel is a fan of twisted and crazy plot. There is no certainty if these two will be together. 

Bates Motel if granted another season will most probably be aired by next year.
