A faulty speed hack was recently exposed by the YouTube user "mariohack&glitch" which shows how ridiculously fast Mario Kart 7 is capable of when the game's settings is tampered using a certain QR code.

Hacks can be fun for most players sometimes as it helps them maximize the gaming experience in a particular game. However, these unforeseen flaws in games can be worrisome and annoying too, especially when it's not as helpful as what gamers expect them to be. This type of hack is what the YouTube user 'mariohack&glitch' presented on his newly posted video on Tuesday.

Mariohack&glitch uploaded a video of a Mario Kart 7 gameplay which showed a speed hack after the gamer scanned a certain QR code in his gaming device.  The gamer first showed the normal speed Mario Kart is capable of. Rebooting his gaming device, the user scanned an undisclosed code and resumed playing the game. Yoshi, the character which the gamer used, was then seen in the video soaring across the map and straight to his doom after racing in an extreme level of speed.

The amount of speed the game normally provides is only 200cc but on the video, the amount of speed was hacked and increased to 9000cc. It might sound fun and advantageous to use the presented hack but it was well noted that the increased level of speed has caused for the characters to soar straight to its demise.

The unidentified code which the YouTube user scanned can be apparently used in an online play. However, no plan of further release was announced.

Prior to this hack, a few more glitches from the game were already dispatched and fixed by its developers. One of the notable bugs Mario Kart 7 had was a set of game-crippling shortcuts that players have been exploiting in online matches before. Nintendo then released a mandatory update which prevented the gamers to use the said shortcuts.

Meanwhile, Nintendo has not released a statement yet regarding the reported speed hack.
