Legend of Zelda Playable at Nintendo World Champ on June 14; Event Comes Back After 25 Years and Gathers 16 Top Players

News that Legend of Zelda Playable at Nintendo World Champ will give fans more reason see what the game developer has in store in the coming E3. The said event was last help in the year 1990, making this upcoming one the next in 25 years. There is much interest among players about how the Zelda game will be pitted to make it a competitive style, though.

It should be known, first off, that only 16 of the best players of Nintendo games will be invited to participate in the Nintendo World Championships during the expo. While there are a lot of games to be featured, it has been recently announced that Legend of Zelda will be one of them.

The statement was made on Twitter by Nintendo of America which goes, "One of the games played during the Nintendo World Championships will be... The Legend of Zelda! More info coming soon!"

The catch here is that it still has not been revealed how participants will compete in this particular title as it is more of an adventure classic. There are speculations that it would have to do with getting the best speed or most scores in particular challenges, as what was done in the NES Remix.

Aside from Legend of Zelda, the Nintendo World Championships is also likely to feature Saved by the Bell, with its logo being ripped for the announcement. The last one, which happened back in 1990 was based on The Wizard movie, hence there is definitely going to be a lot of room for exciting changes this year.

It is definitely an exciting bit of news that Legend of Zelda Playable at Nintendo World Champ. Fans should mark their schedules on June 14, 3PM Pacific time. That would be a Sunday in Los Angeles. During the same week, Nintendo will also be holding its Digital Event, which will host a lot of new details on yet-to-come titles. The annual activity is set on June 16, Tuesday.
