The series called "24: Live Another Day" will be revived by FOX and the episodes are already on the works. The miniseries ended with a great cliffhanger as the lead man of the show, Jack Bauer played by Kiefer Sutherland, left a lot of fans wondering if he still lived for one more day.

"24" had high ratings and fans are demanding a reboot of the series as a solo film or maybe a new series so FOX decided to revive it. However, it will not be starring Sutherland anymore as a new male lead will be taking over his place. Although in the reports that surfaced, Sutherland's character as Jack Bauer will still make a guest appearance somewhere during the progression of the FOX series.

"24" will have a spinoff but not a tenth season for the show. The "24" spinoff TV Series is said to feature a man in his twenties who is a terrorist hunter. It will still continue with the real-time format of the show and Sutherland's character might be expected as the mentor of the new male lead.

Howard Gordon, the producer of the show, said during the Critics Choice Television Awards that was held on Sunday, that the new male star, who is not yet identified, will also be working with a seasoned female agent who is older than him but Gordon did not elaborate on this. However, it is rumored that the antiterrorism agent Kate Morgan played by Yvonne Strahovski would also make it into the spinoff with a few cameos throughout the series.

It is rumored that "24's" spinoff will just be 12 episodes but if the fans are to love it, FOX might lengthen the revival of the show. The writers and the producers of "24" will be coming back. Manny Coto and Evan Katz will be working alongside Gordon.

There has been no official release date as to when the limited series of "24" will premiere on FOX but it is expected to be aired this year.
