Billionaire port magnate Enrique Razon' s Solaire Manila Casino will open tomorrow in the Philippines. The $1.2 billion casino is the first in the country that can vie with Macau's very own casino resort complexes. For now, the port magnate will have all the casino enthusiasts in the country to himself.

According to Bradley Stone, President of Global Gaming Asset Management , the construction of Solaire's first phase will cost Razon $750million while another $400 million would be spent for the expansion, projected to be completed by the third quarter of 2014. The operations of the casino will be under Global Gaming whose key officers, aside from Stone are Gary Saunders who is the former COO of Melco Crown and former President of Las Vegas Sands Corp William Weidner.

In 2008 and 2009 the Philippines awarded Razon, the major stockholder of Bloomberry, one of the four casino licenses for the 110 hectare casino and entertainment resort that overlooks the beautiful Manila Bay.
