"Barbershop 3" has added another singing-member to its cast to staff up the second sequel of the franchise. Utkarsh Ambudkar hops aboard to play as the talented barber from Detroit. Since Ambudkar is known for his singing chops and the movie just recently tapped Nicki Minaj to join in, it seems the threequel has some singing involved in it.

After his stint in the highly-sensationalized musical "Pitch Perfect," star Utkarsh Ambudkar continues his acting and lands a role in the upcoming "Barbershop 3."

The 31-year-old actor will play the role of a talented barber from Detroit named, Samir. Despite his talents, he endures the constant mockeries being thrown at him because of his Indian-American heritage.

One thing that Ambudkar and his co-stars have in common is they are known for their singing skills. Ambudkar became well-known for starring in "Pitch Perfect" as Treblemaker Donald, who is in charge of the group's beatboxing. Ice Cube, who starred in the first two movies, is also a known rapper aside from being an actor.

Just recently, MGM also included Nicki Minaj in the upcoming second sequel, which marks her flourishing acting career. The famous pop-star will portray Draya, the new hairdresser of the beauty shop portion of the barbershop.

Utkarsh Ambudkar, Ice Cube, and Nicki Minaj will be joined by original cast members, including Cedric The Entertainer (as Eddie), Anthony Anderson (as J.D.) and Eve (as Terri Jones). Other newcomers in the second sequel are Regina Hall and 2015 Grammy winner, Common.

Malcolm D. Lee will sit in the director's chair of "Barbershop 3" while Kenya Barris and Tracy Oliver penned the movie script.

"Barbershop 3" will star actor-singer Utkarsh Ambudkar as Samir, a talented barber from Detroit who is being picked on because of his heritage. Ambudkar will join fellow actor and singers/rapper Ice Cube, Nicki Minaj, and Common, forming somewhat a singing group if only the movie is a musical.

"Barbershop 3" will set for a theatrical premiere on February 19, 2016.
