Just like the rest of the franchise, Bourne 5 will feature a strong female character to help the lead protagonist as he sets off to unveil the truth behind his sinister organization. David Webb aka Jason Bourne (Played by Matt Damon) will return on the big screen once again with a big possibility of a crossover with the other spy Aaron Cross (Played by Jeremy Renner) and with beautiful Alicia Vikander to spice up the line up.

Cinemablend has recently reported that Ex-Machina star Vikander will be taking the lead female role for the latest installment in the franchise. The women who partnered up with Matt Damon in the original Bourne trilogy were Franka Potente, Julia Stiles, and Joan Allen. Meanwhile, the lead female star with Jeremy Renner in Bourne Legacy is Rachel Weisz.

The movie is set to come in cinemas on July 29, 2016. Since there is no official title and plot released about the fifth installment, it is not yet sure what type of female character Vikander will play. The young star is supposed to be in the film The Circle, co-starring Tom Hanks. The Circle is a tech movie that is based on a book by Dave Eggers. The new Bourne lead lady has to turn down this movie to focus on the espionage movie.

Vikander has been in other projects like Anna Karenina, The Fifth Estate and Seventh Son. But it was her role in Ex-Machina that blew everyone's minds away. And now, it seems like she is headed to superstardom.

Vikander will be paired up with Matt Damon in the fifth part of the super spy saga, as reports from Cinemablend state that the original star of the franchise struck a deal with it's the original director Paul Greengrass to work on Bourne 5.

Is there any chance that Matt Damon will face Jeremy Renner's character? There is no news about this yet, but according to Screen Crush, it would bring more star power to Bourne 5 and it would pump up the lousy Bourne Legacy that everybody just wanted to forget.
