Actress Shailene Woodley and Theo James had a steamy intimate in the second instalment of the Divergent series, Insurgent. In the movie, Tris and Four takes their love to the next level, and the actors who play the role say that the filming the scene was technical.

In an interview, Woodley and James talks about their experience in filming their intimate scene in Insurgent. James reportedly said that sometimes, getting a drink before shooting sometimes helps,  "Sometimes booze helps if it's really hard-core. With this, it's OK, because at the end of the day it's going to be PG-13." he said. As for Woodley, she opened up about being confident about her sexuality.  "I guess I'm very European in that way. Sexuality is a very normal part of life and the more we suppress that normalcy, I think the more we seek it in ways that don't actually fulfill our sexual needs." The 23 year old actress said.

Regarding the intimate scene, Woodley considered the experience as technical, and shared about the professionalism of her co-actors and director in the set. "The director creates a very safe environment where he's like only the keys need to be in that room. There are only maybe four people in there with you." she described working with Insurgent director, Robert Schwentke. When talking about James, being her partner in the intimate scene, "And then if you're working with an actor who is a gentleman-or a gentlewoman, depending on the scene-then it's a very sort of technical experience." she said. "Theo is a gentleman...It was like we were doing any other scene, in a way." Woodley added.

Meanwhile, it seems like Woodley and her on-screen love interest in The Fault in our Stars Ansel Elgort are already comfortable around each other. For the intimate scene, Elgort reportedly volunteered to be James' sub. "I asked Theo if it was alright [to kiss Shailene because] he wasn't feeling well," the actor confessed during the press day for the movie. "I said, "Listen, I've done it before," and guys that do the visual effects in this movie are good, so they could have easily changed our bodies and it would have been cool," Elgort jokingly added.

 "Shailene and I are now very comfortable working with each other and we trust each other and we're open with each other." the actor shared about his friendship with Woodley.

Insurgent is the  movie adaptation of the second installment in the Divergent series written by Veronica Roth.
