Sad news for The Expendables  fans, Filipino boxing legend Manny Paquiao will not be in the fourth film of the franchise.

While it's a confirmation that Jackie Chan will be joining in the film, it seems that finding the perfect cast seems unclear for now, for that is what the Expendables is all about-it's star-studded cast!

There were rumors that Hogan has already signed a contract to appear in a yet-to-be-known role. Meanwhile, Chan confirmed last year that Stallone did approach him to be in "Expendables 4."

"Sly [Stallone] wants me for Expendables 4," said Chan in a report. "I said, 'okay', because they already asked me to be in two and three, but I refused. Well, I didn't refuse, but I said, 'Sly, can't we just do you and me? Not just a bunch of people and me only coming out for five minutes.'"

The Expendables 3, which was shown last year seemed to have poor reactions from fans, though, Sylvester Stallone remained hopeful for the following film, and the film after that.

When asked by TMZ if Pacquiao will be in fourth film, Stallone answered with a huge no.

"Pacquiao was never going to be in it. He's a great fighter," he added.

He said that Pacquiao wasn't really considered a role in the movie. The speculations only arose when he and Arnold Schwarzenegger visited Pacquiao in his fight with Chris Algieri.

Some of the casts that are confirmed to appear in the upcoming film will be Dwayne Johnson, Steven Seagal, and include in the list Jackie Chan. All of them along more of those who are to come are expected to do great, as the last film, even when it had Harrison Ford, Ronda Rouse, Antonio Banderas, Wesley Snipes and Mel Gibson, still had low gross.

The plot is still underway, having Dave Callaham to write the characters. Though, Stallone continues to eye probable action stars to continue the franchise's epic.
