Mediwatch PlC has decided to dissolve its joint venture with Genesis Medical Ltd. after lengthy negotiations wherein both parties did not agree on a number of commercial aspects, sources familiar with the situation disclosed.

Mediwatch PLC concluded that it will reorganized its sales management in the UK and will use existing in-house staff to extend coverage in the country without spending additional overhead costs. The move, according to sources, will allow Mediwatch to take preparation for the launch of newly designed products, giving the company the opportunity to control the market place in the UK.

Founded in 1996 by Philip Stimpson, Mediwatch focuses on developing medical products for the point-of-care environment.
