EdR, a market leader in the ownership and operations of collegiate housing has announced that it has purchased a 10% stake in Elauwit Networks, a service provider of Internet access, telephone and video services. The investment would reduce network operating costs as well as create new opportunities for enhancements and revenues. In the past three years, Elauwit Networks has been focusing on the student housing industry, thus establishing itself as one of the most reliable service providers in the market.

According to EdR Senior Vice President and COO Christine J. Richards, "Our equity investment in Elauwit will secure reliable and superior technology services for the No.1 amenity desired by our residents, whose internet and bandwidth consumption grows every day."

For its part, Elauwit's CEO Barry Rubens said, "We welcome EdR to the Elauwit team. Their robust communities, robust housing experience and push for excellent and innovative services will spur and aid our quest to continually improve and create cutting-edge products, services and ancillary opportunities and the collegiate housing industry as well."
