Super Smash Bros. DLC Update: Splatoon pre-order entitles gamers to Inkling wig, outfit content; Wii U third-person shooter release May 29

Super Smash Bros. DLCs have become a wise strategy for Nintendo to keep its game alive. Apart from making a profit, it is definitely something that keeps gamers excited about their playing - to get something new once in a while.

It has been a couple of weeks since Mewtwo has been released, and the Pokemon certainly did not disappoint. Recent updates, care of DayHerald, suggest that SSB for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U will welcome new characters together with stylish Mii Fighter wear.

In terms of upcoming characters, Lucas is set to be released June. There are still rumors about Street Fighter's Ryu and Fire Emblem's Roy to join the roster. This was suggested from background music in the Super Smash Bros 3DS iteration. Of course, these would require actual verification from the developers themselves.

Nintendo will continue to serve new plates of games as a new IP, by the name of Splatoon, is bound to arrive soon. The third-person shooter will feature ink-centric and wacky mechanics which will undoubtedly provide hours of fun for the avid gamer. The said title is set to launch this May 29th on Wii U.

Although that date is still a few weeks shy, Nintendo gives players a good reason to order the game in advance. This is because purchasing it early on from GameStop will entitle them for a special Splatoon DLC for SSB. This report comes from WiiUDaily, where the tweet from Nintendo of America has been shared.

The post on Twitter was actually dated last May 7 in the evening. It says, "Players who pre-order or purchase #Splatoon at Gamestop will receive a code for Splatoon DLC costumes in #SmashBros for #WiiU!"

As of now, GameStop is the only one which offers the DLC for pre-ordering the game. Those who are in Europe who wish to get gold of this content should wait for their respective on-site developer to announce the availability.

Super Smash Bros. DLCs have more to offer in the weeks and months to come. Players should check in once in a while for new updates so they would not miss on exciting offers as well.
