Datalink Corporation is now formulating plans to use acquisitions in order to double its sales revenue to a projected US$1 billion in the next three years. According to Chief Executive Officer Paul Lidsky, "We can get to US$1 billion with the right acquisitions within three years."

The company provides data storage and cloud computing services and is based out of Eden Prairie, Minnesota. According to its projections, the US$1 billion mark can be reached after five years if it takes its normal organic growth path. It has operations in twenty states and the District of Columbia.

The company's revenues grew 29 percent amounting to US$491.2 million in 2012 when its clients utilized web based software and data access through remote servers.

Last October, Datalink entered into an agreement to purchase Midas Medici Group Holdings Inc.'s StraTech unit for US$20.3 million and expand its operations to Eastern United States. It is projected that Datalink would post US$567.5 million in 2013 and for 2014 it is projected to generate US$627.5 million in revenue.
