Pinterest, the most popular online image pinboard recently won US$200 million worth of new funding for its operations. According to company sources in a statement last Wednesday, Pinterest is now valued at US$2.5 billion and the funding would be used to make "strategic acquisitions of both talent and technology.

interest provides users online bulletin boards on various topics and themes.  This is but one of the new start-ups on online social media networking with images put up for fellow users to see and comment on.
