Resident Evil 7 was a no show at last year's E3 2014. Its release had been rumored to happen several years back and now, fans have a little reason to celebrate. The highly anticipated Resident Evil 7 has its release date set in October this year, but it's not conclusive.

In addition to this, three possible new titles have been added and posted to the official E3 site. These titles were reportedly describes as action, adventure and fighting/wrestling. The possibility of seeing a lot more of Resident Evil 7 this year has reportedly increased, most especially if Capcom pushes through with the game's most anticipated release.

The Japanese publication Sankei Shinbum has reported that Capcom will unveil Resident Evil 7 for PlayStation 4 at E3 in June however that didn't pan out as RE7 was a no show at E3 2014. However, Resident Evil 7 has already been announced to meet its 2015 release title and it was reported that this could mean that E3 would actually serve as the perfect venue to introduce the new title.

Superdata, a digital analyst company, may have leaked the information that Resident Evil 7 will be launched towards the end of 2015. According to an article that the company released about the console games market for February of 2015, "We anticipate this month's downturn to level off during the coming few months, following a regular seasonal pattern but expect to see an upswing as the next editions of several major franchises like Halo and Resident Evil come out in the 2015 fall season."

Addtionally, according to research firm SuperData, the next major edition in the Resident Evil franchise is set to hit shelves around the same time as Halo 5: Guardians.

The report  from Sankei Shinbum also busted previous speculation that the next chapter in the multi-million selling survival horror franchise was to be an Xbox One exclusive release.

Despite the fact that PS4 was the only console mentioned, an Xbox One release is not impossible. Reports claim that Resident Evil 7 had been set, albeit tentatively, for the Fall of 2015.
