Ever since the Vanity Fair spread on Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrived on Star Wars Day this past Monday, a whole new set of details have been confirmed and revealed. The fans of the seventh Star Wars film are now hyped as Vanity Fair unveiled Adam Driver's villainous character, Kylo Ren and Lupita Nyong'o's digital pirate character, Maz Kanata. Other than that, May the 4th was made even more exciting with a sneak peak photo of Captain Phasma which will be played by Gwendoline Christie on the upcoming seventh Star Wars film.

The Star Wars-centric cover photo revealed on Monday featured stars Harrison Ford (Han Solo), John Boyega (Finn), Daisy Ridley (Rey), as well as Chewbacca and BB-8, chilling on the Millennium Falcon, courtesy of the legendary celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz, who has also taken numerous covers including the cast of the "Star Wars" prequels "The Phantom Menace," "Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Sith."

Vanity Fair has also surfaced photos of Adam Driver's character, Kylo Ren, who will command the First Order, whose secret hideout is located on an ice planet filled with snowtroopers. Lupita Nyong'o's Maz Kanata on the other hand, is set to be an alien pirate that Lucasfilm's visual effects studio, Industrial Light & Magic, will create with CGI.

Other than that, several additional photos from the upcoming issue have also been tweeted by Vanity Fair, including a very intimidating Leibovitz photo of actress Gwendoline Christie (also known as Brienne of Tarth in HBO's "Game of Thrones) dressed as her armored character Captain Phasma. Already nicknamed by fans as "Chrometrooper," we can see the character chasing the Millennium Falcon in the most recent trailer.

Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens will be the seventh Star Wars film, but the first that has been made since Disney's purchase of Star Wars by Disney. The movie will still come from Lucasfilm but under the leadership of Kathleen Kennedy and will be directed by JJ Abrams, the man who helmed the Star Trek reboot as well as classic TV shows Lost and Alias.

The story will take place approximately 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, but will feature the stars of the 'middle' trilogy, Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) Harrison Ford (Han Solo) and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia Organa). Also on board are Kenny Baker, Anthony Daniels and Peter Mayhew - reprising the roles of R2D2, C3PO and Chewbacca respectively.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
