The Last of Us 2 will surely be a very popular sequel should Naughty Dog decide to push through with it. Its original version was released last June 14, 2013, where it effortlessly gained popularity and success among gamers. By this time, many of them would have finished the entire story, and are now looking to see what comes next.

During the Reddit AMA, Neil Druckmann, who is the game's creative director said that having a sequel for The Last of Us is at a "50/50" state. For those who wish to look on the bright side, this can be considered good as the possibility is not fully dismissed.

If ever there would really be The Last of Us 2, Cinema Blend reports that it might revolve around a different storyline, one which will not involve Ellie and Joel. This would be so that the ending of the original would not be compromised.

According to Druckmann, he would only consider an actual sequel if Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker would agree for their voices to be used by their respective characters again. Therefore, if there will be a follow-through for this game, one concern to tackle would be to decide whether it will be a prequel or a sequel.

In other related news, IBTimes reports that a standalone download of The Last of Us: Left Behind will be available on May 12 on Sony's PS3 and PS4 for the price of $9.99. Previously, the survival game was only given as a single-player DLC.

On the other hand, those who couldn't find their way through the game could still benefit from its storyline and characters. GameSpot has covered a cinematic playthrough created by Grant Voegtle on his YouTube channel. The site suggests that this could also allow players to share the background of the game to their families without having them find out how to play.

Going back, it is evident that seeing The Last of Us 2 is still a far cry, especially at this time when Naughty Dog is highly focused on Uncharted 4. Avid fans should not lose hope, though, and continue to check in for new updates once in a while. More information is needed to know that this is really happening. Players should keep themselves pinned; and perhaps E3 would shed more light on this matter.
