House of Cards season 4 spoilers are regularly being hunted for by fans as the past season left in quite a dark note, particularly for Frank's character, played by Kevin Spacey.

He had two major things on his plate in the end which were problems with getting a stable Democratic nomination as well as the departure of his wife, Claire, portrayed by Robin Wright.

The showrunner, Beau Willimon, and the rest of his team were terrified with what Claire might do next considering that she took off from Frank. Williams shared with Hollywood Reporter, "A lot of the strength of the show is based on the strength of that marriage. But as soon as we began to explore that, we realized there was no turning back."

Apparently, they are still very mum about more specific details for season 4. Kevin Spacey also had some words for the same reporter when pertaining to his acting on such character.

He says, "The only way I've been able to go about the work that I do is, I don't judge the characters that I play. I try to serve the writing the best as I can."

Being that fans are very crucial in the existence and thriving of a series, executive producer Willimon is quite sensitive to feedback. Noting that the third season took a turn by focusing more on the marriage of the Underwoods, the response became divided.

An interview on E Online lets Willimon explain his intention to show that the presidency has its own struggles and that it is not always a "cakewalk," where triumph just happens every so often.

So how will this affect season 4? Basically, the next season of the Netflix series will focus more on the presidential election, being keen that it will not necessarily parallel what is happening in real life.

Willimon reasons out as to why, "It would be a fool's errand to try because we're writing the season many, many months before it airs. So if we did that, it would feel really old."

Reports on the cast, on the other hand, are still tight-lipped, except that a report on The Hill said that Janine Skorsky, played by Constance Zimmer, is confirmed to be alive in Ithaca.

The House of Cards season 4 already has a complete storyline arc. The production is likely to begin in June and the Netflix premiere is currently scheduled to be on February 2016.
