The Rise of The Tomb Raider action game is getting more and more exciting as Crystal Dynamics gives more information about the gameplay and as the release date is coming closer.

Brian Horton, who is the game director, tells Game Informer about the challenges Lara Croft will get in to. She will be fighting a variety of wild animals, appearing based on the time and climate. This sense of difficulty, however, will be compensated by new and improved sorts of equipment and armor.

Horton says, "We have a time of day and weather system that allows different animals to appear at different times. So if I want... an alpha wolf that only comes out at night, I'll have to re-traverse to a location at that time to find out and hunt an alpha wolf."

Battling with the animals will reap its corresponding reward as players will be able to get weapon upgrades. In Rise of the Tomb Raider, Lara Croft will be able to fight against bigger and stronger animals when she has more upgrades on weapons.

Games Radar gives more scoop on what the game has to offer through the Rise exclusive coverage they got from the Official Magazine for Xbox. The players will venture through a mythical city, bigger tombs, secret societies, and even find old friends along the way.

Moreover, Design & Trend allows actress Camilla Luddington to shed more light on her character, Lara Croft, in terms of the game's storyline. After her struggles in the first game, she has become more determined to hunt for greater treasures. Luddington says, "There is this drive behind her in this game to let the world know that she is not lying."

The release date for Rise of the Tomb Raider is set within this year's Holiday season, which will be for Xbox One and Xbox 360. Square Enix and Microsoft has offered an exclusivity deal, as mentioned by Eurogamer, hence players using PS3, PS4, and PC ought to cross their fingers in getting the game.
