Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill might be keeping their relationship on the down low. The pair have even denied rumors of their engagement. Fans were speculating that Mill had proposed to Nicki when the 'Anaconda' singer sported a 15-carat diamond ring worth $500,000 on her Instagram. 

The engagement rumors went abuzz on social media, with the fans congratulating Nicki on her engagement. Others argued that the ring was just a gift from Mill and nothing really serious yet. 

While Nicki and Meek have both denied the rumors of their new relationship status, it seems that Nicki's ex Safaree Samuels is handling the news quite well. Many Hollywood exes have been known to throw fits whenever sensitive topics like this come to the surface. Samuels seems to make quite the exception.

"Safaree is not bitter nor does he hate Nicki, in fact it is the opposite, he still very much loves and cares for her deeply so it was no surprise when he reached out and congratulated her and wished her all the best." a source said. 

The pair dated for around 12 years before calling it quits in late 2014.  Nicki began dating Meek Mill soon afterward. Both exes have seemed to move on from each other and went on with their respective careers. Since then, Samuels has been dodging rumors of being bitter towards Nicki. There were even rumors that it was Safaree who was responsible for leaking out some of Nicki's racy nude pictures on Twitter. Safaree has repeatedly denied the rumors, saying that "he loves Nicki and would only wish for her happiness."

Safaree has maintained that Nicki will always be his soulmate despite Nicki calling off their longterm relationship. He feels no anger towards his ex, and only wishes her the happiness she deserves. He also insists that what he and Nicki had was "real."

"That was like my soulmate, that wasn't just someone I was just working with," Samuels said "People thought that I was just her hype man but no it was more than that." 

Safaree was also rumored to be currently dating a model, which he denies. The rapper is now busy promoting his new mixtape It Is What It Is.
