Just when you thought Hollywood heartthrob Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are keeping things casual, news breaks out in a big way - the Ryan Gosling-Eva Mendes secret wedding has hogged tabloid headlines, catching many people by surprise. Then again, the couple has parried with all sorts of rumors before, one of which proved to be true - Eva's pregnancy.

Have they secretly tied the knot? News of a surprise wedding was splashed on the cover of an entertainment magazine several months ago. The news was overshadowed, though, by reports about the celebrity couple's new baby. The adorable tyke, whom  Ryan and Eva named Esmeralda, has kept her famous parents, especially her mom, very busy.

Whether Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes cement their relationship and hold a celebratory event sometime soon remains a conjecture. For now, they're happily raising baby Esmeralda. The name was culled from Victor Hugo's popular novel.

It's a momentous time in their lives. They're enjoying every moment, taking care of the child.  The "Lost River" director is  hands-on dad.

Ryan and Eva starred in the movie "The Place Beyond The Pines" and despite rumors of break-ups, have gravitated back to each other.

His directorial debut has gotten mixed response.  It comes as no surprise that the actor continues to get interesting film offers, but he has turned down some of them. One thing seems clear: Ryan and Eva have weathered many things together, and the relationship seems stronger than ever.  They've been seen spending time together amidst their very busy schedules. Eva has a clothing and jewelry business venture, while Ryan has reportedly been collaborating with other big-name actors for a film based on a Michael Lewis book.
