‘Boruto: Naruto the Movie’ Update: Plot confirms Orochimaru’s return as latest technique is unveiled; First official chapter, trailer released

The official website of the "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" has released the first trailer of the upcoming August film last Friday, April 17 and has revealed several exciting details about the upcoming manga-inspired movie. As Naruto becomes the 7th Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village, he together with son Boruto and the rest of the ninjas of the village are about to face an old foe - Orochimaru. The first chapter of the manga-series Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage Manga is also now released online.

The official trailer of the "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" was released on April 17 but began streaming with English subtitles on Tuesday, April 21. The trailer featured a narration of the voice of Jiraiya by its returning actor Houchu Ohtsuka. The trailer of the "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" came with the announcement of the return of the original cast of the manga series.

Meanwhile, a glimpse on the life of the new generation of Konoha's ninja can be viewed in the newly released chapter of the manga series "Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage Manga" available online. The story of the gaiden revolves around the accounts of the new generation of ninja after the great shinobi war. It is part of the Naruto New Era Opening Project and fans can expect more gaiden release in the coming months.

Junko Takeuchi returns as the voice of Naruto Uzumaki and Noriaku Sugiyama as Sasuke Uchiha. Yuko Sanpei and Kokoro Kikuchi were earlier announced to be playing the role of Boruto and Sarada respectively. Casts of the upcoming "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" are expected to be announced as August draws near.

In other news, Orochimaru's is expected to return to the movie as the main villain. He initially sought for Sasuke's body to gain the Uchiha clan's powerful Sharingan. He is reportedly going to attempt to get the Sharingan power once more, this time through Sasuke's daughter Sarada. Boruto, might end up using the 64th Palm Rasengan Technique to finally put an end to Orochimaru. A budding romance between Sarada and Boruto is also speculated for the movie.

Masashi Kishimoto on the other hand shared his thoughts about the "Boruto: Naruto the Movie." "After the serialization finished, I have spent all of my time used to spend for manga in this movie." His involvement in the movie included not just the story but the character designs as well.

Fans are now staying tune for several more clips of the "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" from its official website. A trailer featuring the villain Orochimaru is expected to be released any time soon.

The film will open in Japanese theaters on August 7.
