Speculations on Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge specs are going in full blast, fuelled by the success of the electronics giant's recently released Galaxy S6.

Talk has it that the next generation flagship smartphone S series of the South Korean company will sport the handset version of its curved screen high-end television.

Valuewalk refers to "whispers emanating from Korea" that Samsung will be aggressively marketing the curved screen mobile variant in 2016, the expected release year of the S7. The reported target is to mainstream the S7 Edge, a departure from the premium line niche sported by the S6 curved model.

The report points to an expected increase in the release of Galaxy Edge devices in 2015 that will allow the electronics giant to test the market for a larger-scale release of the Galaxy S7 Edge in 2016. Samsung had first used the curved screen technology for mobiles on its Galaxy Note 4 in 2015 with excellent reviews.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is also foreseen to feature a 4K resolution screen, a first for a mainstream smartphone-sized mobile device with a super AMOLED display and it could also be using a foldable screen design, again the world's first phone to do so.

This latest iteration is projected to also be the first to use a legitimate octa-core processor with a 4GB RAM.In terms of camera functionality, the S7 is likely to have 30-megapixel capability for its main rear-facing camera.

Other speculations have the Galaxy S7 bearing a waterproof and dustproof design. S7 is expected to have a 5G network connection for super fast Wi-Fi connectivity. Infrared sensors may not to measure body temperature could also be an added feature that would go with the Sy.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2016.
