"American Horror Story: Hotel" is slated for an October release but fans of FX's horror thriller are already excited to know how it will connect to the previous seasons. Details are still limited regarding the plot of the show but if show runners Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk plan to incorporate horror hotel tales in the fifth season, then Stephen King's "The Shining" is probably the best allusion. Meanwhile, series regular Sarah Paulson will be returning as the 'baddest' girl in the next season according to Murphy.

Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk unquestionably have a lot of horror tricks up their sleeves to tell 'American Horror Story: Hotel' but incorporating classic horror tales about hotels is not a bad idea. Theories online suggest that Stephen King's "The Shining" could be a good reference for the AHS fifth season.

Supernatural elements are not new in the show since its first season "Murder House" focused on the life of a family haunted by the ghosts of the former occupants trapped inside their house. "American Horror Story: Hotel" could do that again but this time, the ghosts could be the former guests murdered due to manic hotel activity secretly done by the hotel staff. Another report also suggests the use of haunted elevators or a mystic hotel floor.

Series regular Sarah Paulson will surely play a huge role in the fifth season of AHS as confirmed by Ryan Murphy via Twitter. Paulson will be returning as the "baddest bad girl" in the "Hotel" along with Kathy Bates, Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Wes Bentley, and Chloë Sevigny.

Meanwhile, a report suggests that "American Horror Story: Hotel" could do a lot better than "Coven" and "Freak Show" if they will bring back genuine scares rather than use shock factors or too much gore. The creators should also focus on writing consistent storylines and creating convincing resolutions for the show's lead characters whose stories affect the whole run of the show.

"American Horror Story: Hotel" will premiere in October with a roster of stellar casts including Sarah Paulson who will be playing the "baddest" girl that viewers should watch out for. Use of classic horror hotel tales like Stephen King's "The Shining" could be one of the great ways to bring back the scare factor that fans of AHS loved during its first two seasons.

What other horror hotel tales should be included in "American Horror Story: Hotel"? Leave your suggestions in the comments section below.
