Avril Lavigne has bravely decided to come out to the public and admit that she has been battling with Lyme disease for months now. The Canadian pop-star recently said that she is "80% better" now and also announced that she is currently doing an album set to be released on Christmas

Avril Lavigne admitted in an interview that she caught Lyme's disease, which caused her to be bedridden for five months. Being in her home in Ontario with her mother and husband Chad Kroeger, she realized the things that she still wants to do as an artist.

The "Ska8er Boi" singer said that she has always wanted to make a Christmas album but just did not have the time to sit down and focus on it. Avril treated her condition as "a wake-up call" and decided that she will take pleasure in the life that she has.

"I really want to enjoy everything, because life is good. And even though this circumstance is unfortunate, I think there are a lot of positives with it. I'm definitely choosing to view it that way," Avril said.

Recently, her husband Chad Kroeger also admitted that he is relieved that Avril decided to tell the public about her situation. While being interviewed in an Australian radio show, the Nickelback singer said that his wife even asked him not to mention anything about her condition in any of his interview before. Kroeger said that he is "very thankful" about Avril's bravery to finally tell her fans about her battle.

Avril Lavigne has not fully recovered yet after being diagnosed with Lyme disease, which caused her to step away from the spotlight for five months. However, she finds support from husband Chad Kroeger and is now working on an album set to hit record bars by Christmas.
