Persona 5 PS4, PS Vita Release Date: Protagonist, additional characters revealed; Official trailer unveiled

Atlus has finally released the official trailer of the all-new "Persona 5" at the Persona Super Live concert held in Nippon Budokan, Tokyo. The trailer showed the protagonist, additional characters and some gameplay scenes that gamers will expect to encounter once the game releases. Although Atlus have not revealed any official release dates however rumors are circulating that details will be spilled at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo.

Gematsu described the protagonist of 'Persona 5' as the 'Phantom character from today's Yomiuri Shimbun advertisement. Katsura Hashino from the Persona team mentioned that the 'previous heroes are going after villains, pursuing bad guys for the sake of justice however in Persona 5, protagonists are on the run for doing what they think is right after something happens completely pout of the blue. That mixture of thrills and not-so-larger-than-life cast of characters is what composes the idea of "academy juveniles" for us.'

Also, the trailer introduced 3 additional characters, the blonde guy 'Ryuuji Sakamoto', the girl 'Anzu Takamaki' and a cat named Morgan. Lastly, gameplay evolves with scenes from everyday life, menus, dungeons where stealth and jumping elements are present and battles where each characters display their own masks.

Unfortunately, the teasers along with the official trailer does not include the official release date of the said game but fans are anticipating that the big announcement will be revealed at the 'Electronic Entertainment Expo' that will commence on June 16 and ends in June 18 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. What we know so far is that Atlus is planning to release 'Persona 5' before the year ends in Japan and North America.

Furthermore, Persona 5 on its way accompanied with twists, surprises and all-new characters. Available for PS4, PS3 and PS Vista, the game is set to release later this year but official dates are yet to be revealed soon.
