There's no letting up in the prayers and tributes for legendary 7-time F1 world champ Michael Schumacher. He remains in one of the most critical conditions of his life, after a skiing accident in the French Alps in December 2013 left him with a severe brain damage.

Since he went into a medically induced coma until he started showing response to voices of loved ones, the F1 champ's fans and fellow racers have been cheering him on.  Doctors have affirmed that there's a very long road to recovery, but fans and F1 compatriots have continuously offered encouraging words to Michael and his family.

Throughout his racing career, Michael has formed deep friendships with lots of people in the motorsports industry, particularly Ferrari team members including fellow racers, crew and mechanics. Over a year ago, Felipe Massa, Schumacher's former Ferrari  teammate, had posted on the Ferrari website that Michael had helped him a great deal in his career and that he was praying for the fallen F1 legend everyday. British Formula One Drivers Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton have  also expressed hopes for Michael's continued recovery.

Though he had hung up his F1 helmet for some time now, Schumacher had not lost touch with his racing friends before the accident. Among the racing champ's visitors in his home were Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile President Jean Todt. Another F1 champ David Coulthard had stated that the entire racing world is hoping for Schumi's recovery. Recently, Maurizio Arrivabene, the  team principal of Ferrari Formula One team, had shed tears after receiving a heartfelt congratulatory message  for Sebastian Vettel's win in the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Schumacher's medical team is providing round-the-clock care to Michael at a facility set up in  his Swiss home. He is given a daily massage and is closely monitored. The question now is whether doctors can succeed in ensuring quality of life for the former F1 champ. It can be recalled that Michael had longed to spend much time with his family - to be around during his kids' holidays, to travel with his brood and fully enjoy moments with them -- following retirement. It just breaks people's hearts to see the F1 legend in a disadvantaged state, but there's a ray of hope he'll pull through.
